Thursday & Saturday Night Music presents– Korey DaneLA Americana wunderkind Korey Dane
is known for his “rich vocals and storyteller’s knack for composition.” Dane grew up in Long Beach, CA, a skateboarder kid with a gearhead
father and English teacher mother and with a guitar he learned to love as he learned to play. His album Youngblood, with its “subdued vocals and lovelorn lyrics,” was born from months exploring and hitchhiking and putting songs together piece by piece. Mentored and mastered by veteran producer and A&R man Tony Berg (X, Public Image Ltd.), Youngblood was released with Innovative Leisure fall of 2015. With hints of Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, his latest release Chamber Girls possesses a “Springsteen swagger” and poetry at velocity, a trick that goes all the way back to Dylan and the Hawks.Free show.
